20May20 - You Cannot Live on Yesterday's Victories

https://quoteshoarder.blogspot.com/2020/05/you-cannot-live-on-yesterdays-victories.html?m=1

"Remember, yes, but don't get stuck in the 'good ol' days because God is doing something new...
What is familiar is cozy and what is unfamiliar is scary...
You cannot live on yesterday's victories."

" Don't dwell in the past whether it's good or bad.
Just like the story of video rental store chain in USA called The Blockbuster.
When you are successful, you get cocky, you get arrogant and you depend in your past victories...that's the problem."

Growing up, I pride myself as an achiever. Eventhough I didn't end up getting my dream job in the airline industry, I got a really high paying job in a fashion company. But when I resigned in that company, it was hard to get a job with the same pay grade. I depended on my husband to provide for our needs and most of the time I felt useless in the financial aspect.

Now, I am praying that God will direct me in the right path to re-invent myself...to charter the unfamiliar territory. To feel economically-able and be a blessing to my family and friends.
